"TNT to me means the chance to do something I never ever thought I could do... this April, I'm working hard to actually complete a half marathon! I never would have thought of challenging myself to something like this, but with the help of TNT's great staff, coaches and mentors, I'm on my way... along with working to raise funds and support for a great cause!"

"I thought I'd let you know that as of two years ago the word 'run' was not even in my vocabulary! I was told I was insulin resistant and that if I didn't want to become diabetic I needed to change my eating habits and begin an exercise program. Two years later I've lost 130 pounds, which was half my body weight. In the summer of 2006 I was becoming bored with my cardio and looking for something else to do, but wasn't sure. In October I saw the brochure from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the gym (Lifestyle Fitness in Hilliard), took it home and read it. I went to one of the informational meetings with the thoughts of walking a half marathon, since I was not a runner. In talking with the trainers and coaches and telling them about the cardio I was doing they encouraged me to begin training for the run. I am now running 3-5 days a week and currently running 4-6 miles each time I go out. I have decided this is something that, with training, I can certainly accomplish. It has provided me a goal that is certainly out of my comfort zone and giving me a new challenge to work towards. I can't think of a better group to be training with nor a better organization to be running for than the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Thanks!"
